Mandarin

To plant a mandarin from seed, start indoors and transplant once germinated. Choose a site with full sun exposure and choose a few seeds from a large, juicy mandarin.0 Wash the seed clean, allow it to dry on a paper towel, and then sow or store it. Fresh seed is more viable than older seed. Sow the seed into a container filled with seed-raising mix.1 Transplant the small tree after roots appear around the drainage holes of the pot. The Mandarin seedling can be planted in a larger pot for patio or indoor growing, or outside in an area of the yard where it will not be crowded or shaded from direct sunlight.2 When seedlings are about 5 cm high, they can be planted separately in a small container.
