Dent Corn

Dent Corn, also known as field corn, is a popular variety of corn that is grown specifically for livestock feed and industrial use. It produces ears that are large, sturdy and have a unique 'dent' on their kernels. Growing Dent Corn is relatively easy - it requires direct sunlight, fertile soil and regular watering. It is a summer crop that needs warm temperatures to grow. While planting, space the seeds 8-12 inches apart and make sure to weed regularly. Harvesting Dent Corn is best done when the husks have turned brown and the kernels are fully matured.
